Autogenic Training
Autogenic Training is one of the most powerful relaxation techniques. It consists of a series of simple mental exercises designed to turn off the “fight-flight” mechanism in the body caused by stress, and turn on the restorative rhythms associated with profound psychophysical relaxation. Autogenic Training provides ways to protect yourself against harmful stress, harmonizes intentional and vegetative processes, enhances concentration and memory, and relieves congestion. It is a great alternative to traditional Western anti-stress medication, as it does not have any negative side effects. It has been used in the treatment of many physical diseases, such as arthritis and cancer.
