The first two weeks at the new home of Ashgrove Spa

WE ARE OPEN for two weeks now!
These first 2 weeks have gone by so fast and we are all so happy in our new home. We hope you will come and visit us soon.
At the new spa we have four areas; you will find the main reception to your right as you enter into the building. Here a comfortable pair of slippers welcomes you. The second floor in the heritage building is the quiet spa area with treatment rooms and a special suite inviting you for a relaxing bath cure after any treatment.

A more social Pedi-Mani Lounge and the Hair Studio is to the left as you enter. The lounge is ready now, but our new Hair Studio needs just a little more time to be completed.

This is a message we received from one client, Dawn, after her visit,
"What a first impression! The new Ashgrove Spa combines Victorian with contemporary elegance in a calm, soothing atmosphere of well- being, with a twinkle of chandelier light throughout for ambiance, relaxation and luxury. The welcome and services are as superior as ever - a place to spoil one self".

Clients who have already visited us were all surprised and happy to see the improved Ashgrove Spa. The new spa looks elegant, relaxing, spacious and comfortable, the girls look very pretty in their new uniforms and their smiles make everyone feel special.

We are opening our doors to you March 2nd!

After 14 wonderful years at our old location in Markham, we have now closed our old location. We have had many wonderful people come and see us for various treatments and I believe we have made a tremendous impact on many of our client’s lives. I will have many fond memories of the old location and I am anxious and nervous a bit to see your reactions when you come to the new and much improved home of Ashgrove Spa.

We are so excited to finally be in our new home and all the girls are very busy preparing your pretty welcome gift for your first visit.

There is still a lot of work to be done before we open, the girls and I will be spending the last few days ticking off items on our to-do lists; we’re organizing rooms, tidying work and storage areas, and refreshing our knowledge of all our treatments, and products.

We are also learning about a new skin care line that Ashgrove Spa will be carrying; Luzern natural skin care line. This wonderful organic, cosmecutical product line avoids the use of harmful chemicals such as parabens, petrochemicals, synthetic preservatives, colours and fragrances. I believe that you will really enjoy using these new products.

Work in Progress

The excitement is mounting, only two more weeks until you will be able to walk through the doors of our new home!

One of these beautiful sunny days we already had our first visitor; Nick spotted a Lady bug on our new pretty crown molding and took a picture to introduce her to everyone.

Many say its luck. Oh I certainly hope she is.

I imagined the new home of Ashgrove Spa to be a relaxing city spa, right in the heart of Unionville, a place that will transport you away from your every day worries and stresses. It is shaping now and is really turning into everything I imagined.

The next time you visit for a facial, pedicure, manicure, massage or a quick wax you'll drive into the parking lot of this old home and you'll feel instantly relaxed. The clean and elegant lines and soothing colours and aromas will allow your mind to be still and your body to instantly unwind and forget everything on your ever growing to-do lists. We want your time spent at Ashgrove Spa to be a pleasurable experience. We'll aim to take care of all your beauty needs as well as focus on your entire body's well being.

We decided to add a hair studio to our mani-pedi lounge. Not to worry, I still kept the quiet and tranquil spa rooms separate from this more open and social area.

We can accommodate groups of girlfriends out for a girls day or even entire bridal parties in this new space!

When you arrive at 105 Main Street, just park and come in through the door from the parking lot, turn right to enter our new spacious reception area. We'll be happy to see you and welcome you with a special gift at your first visit.

I also wanted to give a special mention to my most wonderful spa team. I am so thankful to them for all their help and support. During this "relocation-time" they were able to look after that our old location run smoothly and they really took loads off of my shoulders. All the girls are special at Ashgrove Spa and I am very proud of my team. Trust me, it's not easy to keep up with me even on a normal day and during this renovation I have been going 180%!

I'm so excited and would love to describe the whole place to you in detail but I think you should drop by after March 2nd for a treatment and see it for yourself!

Working away...

The new home of Ashgrove Spa is opening very, very soon! With less than 3 weeks until we open the doors to you, everyone involved is working around the clock.

Our general contractor Stu Sabobrow is very well known in the Unionville-Markham area for his exceptional work. Throughout our renovations, he has come up with many creative solutions to meet our specific needs at Ashgrove Spa, all the while making sure we're on schedule for our grand opening. He even spent his birthday at the jobsite!

Stu, everyone at Ashgrove Spa wishes you many more healthy and successful years. You love what you do, and it shows. Thank you so much for making the next home of Ashgrove Spa so wonderful!

Another integral part of this transformation is Mike Webb the Site Manager. Mike is an incredible jack of all trades, and is very detail oriented. He is able to tackle even the trickiest of issues and whenever I had challenging problems, he came up with great solutions.

There are so many people I need to mention; Bela from Silverstone Mechanical for plumbing and HVAC work, Lorenzo from ClosetOne for all the beautiful cabinetry and Roger from Vista Flooring.

Last but not least, I would also like to introduce you to our management team: my son Nick has been by my side throughout this whole renovation, helping me make many very important decisions. I am also thankful to Joanne Giustini, our new spa manager. She's an incredible help to orchestrate these last few weeks of chaos!

Our new location

We just wanted to let everyone know that we will be moving and opening our new location March 1st! We found a gorgeous heritage home in Unionville and we are currently under renovations to turn it into the new home of Ashgrove Spa. The new space will offer you all the services in a more relaxing and luxurious feel of the original Ashgrove Spa that you have come to know and love.

Ashgrove Spa has been in the same location in Markham for the past fourteen years and we decided that it's time to expand into this gorgeous century home. The new home of Ashgrove Spa has the charm and feeling of a getaway retreat while still being in the heart of the city.

This new home of Ashgrove Spa will have ample parking and it is located just steps away from all the great shops on Main St. It's a great location to organize an afternoon with your friends, have lunch, do some shopping and come in to Ashgrove Spa to relax, get pampered and spend time together.

We can't wait to show you what this space is going to look like in a few weeks, with large, bright bay windows, original wood trim and romantic chandeliers, the new home of Ashgrove Spa is going to be an amazing place for you to come to relax for just a short treatment or for a full day retreat close to home.

While the work is underway, we're going to let you inside to have a sneak peek at the work in progress and we will profile some of the people who are working to turn this beautiful century house into a world class dayspa.
